Once a clam production centre, in the early 1990s, the Landeda plant was converted into a production centre for 18-month oysters. The site benefits from cold, phytoplankton-rich waters that are conducive to oyster growth. Since 2018, a new site has been under creation around the beds in Île d’Er, on the pink granite coast, at Plougrescant. Ultimately, it will double production.
